Cult Classics | Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair
The Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II might be one of the most well known, iconic serums on the skincare market. The recognizable tortoise brown bottle with pipette packaging has been hyped up and praised by women (and men!) of all ages for years now (this is actually the newly improved formula that the brand switched it to a few years ago now). With such incredible cult classic status, I am surprised I’ve never written about it here before, because it really is one of those products that just does great things to skin. Let’s talk it about it some more, shall we?
Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair (as it’s often called in short… because that really is the short version of a very lengthy name!) claims to be a do-it-all radiance booster, hydrator, nighttime renewal, tone evener and reducer of signs of ageing.
Those are pretty tall claims – and rightfully so! There is a reason why this is such a hit with consumers, and why the brand has had such incredible success (they tested this on over 1000 women of all ethnicities and ages with varying skin concerns before releasing the revamped version!). It’s oil free, non-comedogenic and fragrance free which means it’s a great match with sensitive or acneic skin types. The texture is lightweight and silky and sinks in almost instantly as well, which is great for those who don’t like the feel of too many products on their skin.
Personally, I consider this one of those products I always want to have around – it just makes my skin look good! I always take this as my serum of choice when I travel, knowing full well that is usually the time when my skin likes to test me and without fail it always keeps things looking radiant, smooth and clear. This is also my first choice when I’ve had some issues with my skin breaking out, or feeling more dehydrated than normal as it seems to pair beautifully with any other skincare product in my routine I want to throw at it.
If my skin is dry and flaky it gets ANR. Spotty and reactive? ANR. Dull and uneven in tone? ANR…. you get the picture. It’s good. Really, really good.
