The Revamp: Make Up For Ever Water Blend Foundation vs Face and Body

Cosmetic companies have been coming out with spritzable products for a while now, and they all promise to be life changing, but some are definitely better geared towards specific uses (for example, not a single one I own does all the jobs it claims, they each serve their own purpose) After recently falling back in…
I realize it’s over a week into May, but apparently, I’ve still got April on my mind. It’s been an exceptionally long time since I shared some monthly beauty favourites in this space. I dabbled in sharing them over on Instagram stories, but the blog is where I can get the most pertinent information out…
As you’ve all guessed by now I’ve been on a bit of a mascara binge lately. There are so many new formulas and revamps of previously released formulas on the market right now, I just couldn’t help myself! This time round I decided to try a new version of a mascara I previously blogged about…
IS JACLYN HILL PROBLEMATIC? SHOULD MORPHE BE CANCELLED?
There seems to be a handful of beauty YouTubers that are forever in the thick of drama, and one of them is most definitely Jaclyn Hill. Jaclyn has attempted to step into the cosmetic sales world several times in the last few years… and she’s had some pretty dismal luck with it.
Morphe, the creator of this palette is no stranger to controversy as well. I’ll be getting into that in this post, but ultimately the question is: Is the Morphe Jaclyn Hill Volume 2 Palette any good? And the answer is yes… and no.
Grab a cup of tea, or something stronger, and tuck in because it’s a long one.
Just when I thought Charlotte Tilbury and her all-star cosmetic line hadn’t done anything in a while, she surprised me! Instant Look In a Palette is a beautifully balanced, everyday appropriate full face palette that doesn’t disappoint. Charlotte really knows the anatomy of a cohesive look and blueprints her palettes in such a way that novice-professional can…
True story: My lashes are my money makers. Ok, that sounds ridiculous.
I too was very afraid that the water blend was not going to hold up to the original formula. And unfortunately, Im going to have to disagree with you and say that water blend just isn’t as good. The texture is much more watery- it does not have the same gel consistency. Therefore, it does not seem to mesh with the skin as well. It does not glide and blend in with the skin like the original. It even seems to be emphasizing dryness and pores in a way I never experienced with the original. Because it does not mesh with the skin as well, it also seems to provide even less coverage than the original. I understand that it is supposed to be very light coverage, but this is nothing! Overall Im very disappointed and I wish I had stocked up on the original 🙁
Im sorry to hear it didn’t work for you! I found it SO similar to the original, texture and all. The big change was the scent for me, but it melted into my skin the same way. I wore the original for years, so I was definitely concerned (and did buy a back up just in case) but pleased with the new one!
