Sunday Steals | A Gorgeous Highlighter Under $5?

Yep, I’m talking about Wet n Wild – the brand I was all too familiar with as a 90’s teen. Remember their silver eyeliner pencil that only cost $0.99? Because I do. Cringe.
I’ve been impressed with some Wet n Wild eyeshadow palettes in recent years, but face products weren’t something I gave it much credit for, so it was totally by surprise that I stumbled upon this product that is poorly named as a bronzer (seriously!?) but makes for a lovely natural highlighting powder. The Wet n Wild Reserve Your Cabana powder is surprisingly smooth and buttery for its $4.99 price tag, and the size is a staggering 13 grams, compared to my theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer which is 8.4 grams (and still a whole hell of a lot of product).
This powder is very neutral beige, not too yellow or pink. I can see it working well on most skin tones, especially due to the fact that it isn’t frosty like theBalm’s Mary-Lou Manizer or metallic like Becca Shimmering Pressed Skin Perfectors. Its a soft focus glow that has micro fine shimmer that gives a glow without looking like something straight out of Twilight.
I’ve been dusting it on over the tops of my cheekbones, bridge of my nose and cupids bow with a softer brush like my Real Techniques Blush Brush during the day and a denser brush like my Mac 109 for more obviously highlighted look.
I’ll look past the weird fact that this has SPF 15 (why?) and is labelled a bronzer (again, don’t think so!) and revel in the fact that it was a total winner of a product that only set me back $5 CND.
