Please forgive my delay in replying – being a toddler mom isn’t much easier for me LOL
I wanted to tell you that you are doing an amazing job, just by advocating for yourself. It is 100% ok if it is not for you. The most important thing you can do for your baby is take care of yourself. The nurses push and push and push, and its criminal how little support there is for new moms who have any sort of struggle beyond basic childbirth. Recovering from traumatic labour, a c section and trying to learn to be a mom – that is HARD.
Im so glad my post resonated with you, and just know you can do this.

I’m sitting here, almost 4 days post C section and majorly needed this. I had a very similar birth. Induction, failure to progress, and after 48 long hours an unplanned c section. These are THE hardest days/nights I’ve ever been through. Because of the long and intense labor and birth (with all the meds and interventions that went a long with it) the days are a blur. I can’t even remember when,who,or if someone actually came and showed me how to breastfeed. I too just remember there being a pump next to my bed and me with tiny syringes scooping up milk from my nipples. In only 4 days it’s clear that full on breastfeeding is not for me. Thank you SO much for this post. <3

You have to make sure it is ultra pasteurized, not just lactose free.
